Sponsorship and Grants Coordinator
The Sponsorship and Grants Coordinator is responsible for securing external funding, sponsorship, and commercial partnerships to support the continued growth and financial sustainability of Sussex Schools FA.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and apply for grant and funding opportunities
- Build relationships with sponsors, partners, and local businesses
- Develop sponsorship packages and commercial opportunities
- Ensure sponsors receive agreed exposure and benefits
- Work closely with the Treasurer regarding funding allocation
- Present funding opportunities and sponsorship updates to the committee
- Report directly to the Secretary on all sponsorship, funding, and partnership activity
Primary Secretary
The Primary Secretary is responsible for the administration and communication of all primary school football activities within Sussex Schools FA.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main administrative contact for primary football
- Manage communications with schools and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Support the delivery of meetings and governance requirements
- Support the delivery of primary football activities across Sussex
- Report directly to the Primary Development Lead on all operational and administrative matters
Primary Competition Secretary
The Primary Competition Secretary is responsible for the organisation, administration, and delivery of primary school competitions across Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage competition entries, draws, and fixtures
- Set and communicate competition deadlines
- Liaise with schools regarding fixtures and queries
- Monitor competition progress and completion
- Resolve eligibility, rule, and fixture issues
- Organise finals and presentation arrangements
- Support the delivery and growth of primary competitions across Sussex
- Report directly to the Primary Development Lead on all competition activity and operational matters
District Development Lead
The District Development Lead is responsible for leading and developing district football across Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development of district football across Sussex
- Build strong relationships with district associations
- Identify opportunities to improve participation and standards
- Recruit, support, and retain volunteers
- Oversee the District Secretary and District Competition Secretary
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support across all district activity
- Report directly to the Chairman on district development, operational matters, and strategic opportunities
District Secretary
The District Secretary is responsible for the administration and communication of district football operations across Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage district communications and records
- Support governance and meeting administration
- Maintain district contact databases
- Assist with compliance and affiliation requirements
- Support district operational delivery
- Act as a key contact for district stakeholders
- Report directly to the District Development Lead on all operational and administrative matters
District Competition Secretary
The District Competition Secretary is responsible for the organisation, administration, and delivery of district competitions across Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage competition entries, draws, and fixtures
- Set and communicate competition deadlines
- Liaise with schools regarding fixtures and queries
- Monitor competition progress and completion
- Resolve eligibility, rule, and fixture issues
- Organise finals and presentation arrangements
- Support the delivery and growth of district competitions across Sussex
- Report directly to the District Development Lead on all competition activity and operational matters
Under 18's Manager
The Under 18's Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of Sussex Schools FA Under 18 representative team activities and matchday operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage player selection and squad administration
- Organise trials and player identification
- Manage fixtures
- Communicate with players, parents, schools, and staff
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are maintained
- Oversee coaching staff and support staff connected to the Under 18 programme
- Report directly to the Representative Team Development Lead on squad development, fixtures, and team operations
SEN Competition Secretary
The SEN Competition Secretary is responsible for the organisation, administration, and delivery of SEN competitions across Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage competition entries, draws, and fixtures
- Set and communicate competition deadlines
- Liaise with schools regarding fixtures and queries
- Monitor competition progress and completion
- Resolve eligibility, rule, and fixture issues
- Organise finals and presentation arrangements
- Support the delivery and growth of SEN competitions across Sussex
- Report directly to the Schools Competition Development Lead on all competition activity and operational matters
Schools Competition Development Lead
The Schools Competition Development Lead is responsible for overseeing, managing, and developing all Sussex Schools FA school competitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all Sussex Schools FA school competitions across all age groups and formats
- Oversee the U12–16 Competition Secretary, U16–18 Competition Secretary, Shield Competition Secretary, SEN Competition Secretary, and Futsal Competition Secretary
- Provide leadership, support, and guidance to all competition secretaries
- Monitor deadlines, fixtures, and operational delivery
- Resolve escalated competition issues and disputes
- Identify opportunities for growth, improvement, and development
- Ensure consistency across all school competitions
- Report directly to the Vice Chairman on competition performance, operational matters, and strategic opportunities
Shield Competition Secretary
The Shield Competition Secretary is responsible for the organisation, administration, and delivery of shield competitions across Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage competition entries, draws, and fixtures
- Set and communicate competition deadlines
- Liaise with schools regarding fixtures and queries
- Monitor competition progress and completion
- Resolve eligibility, rule, and fixture issues
- Organise finals and presentation arrangements
- Support the delivery and growth of shield competitions across Sussex
- Report directly to the Schools Competition Development Lead on all competition activity and operational matters
Girls Development Lead
The Girls Development Lead is responsible for leading and developing girls' football across Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development of girls' football across Sussex
- Increase participation opportunities and school engagement
- Identify opportunities for growth and partnership development
- Support girls' competitions and representative pathways
- Oversee the Girls U12–16 Competition Secretary
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support across all girls football activity
- Report directly to the Chairman on participation growth, operational matters, and strategic opportunities
