Referees
Sussex Schools Football Association supports the use and development of referees across school football. This page provides guidance on sourcing referees, expectations and how to get involved in officiating.
Find a Referee
Sussex Schools FA does not manage an official referee directory. Schools are encouraged to source referees through the Sussex FA referee network, local clubs or qualified contacts.
Refereeing in Schools Football
Many school fixtures are officiated by teachers, volunteers or developing referees. Where possible, qualified referees should be used for competitive matches.
- Ensure referees are briefed before kick-off
- Respect all match officials at all times
- Follow FA and SSFA conduct guidelines
Become a Referee
